Recently Lerab Ling's 'die hard'-practitioners gathered on the hill-top at an early hour to celebrate the Local Deities' day, Dzam Ling Chi Sang. Smoke and other ingredients were offered to the local deities on this day. The rest of the day the Sangha continued to practise in the main temple hall.
Later that morning Sogyal Rinpoche practised with us via a conference call from Dzogchen Beara, Rigpa's retreat centre in Ireland.
I was born in Hamburg/Germany in 1977. Between 1980-1984 I lived in Rio de Janeiro/Brasil. Afterwards I lived again in Hamburg, going to school and studying Tibetology and Indology at Hamburg University under the guidance of Prof. David Jackson. I met my teacher Sogyal Rinpoche in 2000 and have been following his teachings since then. In 2006 I began to study at a traditional Buddhist Scriptual College (Shedra) in Nepal as well as partially participating in a 3 Year Retreat in Lerab Ling, conducted by Sogyal Rinpoche. I aspire to become a translator for Tibetan Buddhism.
